Andrea Butcher was born on May 23rd 1957 in Guisborough to Ken Butcher and his wife Hilary. They lived in Boosebeck where Andrea lived until she moved to Skelton in the late 70s. Andrea was a tomboy always fighting boys (but sticking up for the underdog)she was a clever student at school doing exeptionally well in english. An only child whilst obviously loving both parents she had an extra special deep bond with her dad Ken which was never more evident than as she nursed him through cancer until he passed away in 1995. Him leaving us all was the worst thing that did happen or could have happened to my mam Andrea and she never fully recovered. Her mam tragically died in her sleep at the age of just 51. Andrea aged just 27 and with 4 children one as young as 6 months old was obviously devasted as was everyone who knew and loved our nanna, her mam.
